Your new potential therapist, Austin Garceau
M.S. , LCMHCS, LCASA
Feeling stuck, overwhelmed or unsure where to start? Maybe this is your first time seeking out therapy? Together, we’ll identify your strengths, build effective coping tools, and create meaningful changes that support lasting growth. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel understood, empowered, and confident moving forward.
When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my 13 year old puppy, reading, and playing hockey. I am a native NYer and have lived in Asheville, NC since 2013!
My Approach
I take an authentic and action-focused approach to therapy, helping clients gain clarity, overcome obstacles, and feel more confident in their daily lives. I believe therapy should feel both supportive and productive. I help clients better understand themselves, develop healthier coping skills, and create positive changes they can carry into everyday life.
At Solution Oriented Counseling PLLC, sessions are confidential, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based, solution-focused practice. I welcome adults of all identities and backgrounds, honoring the many ways people find resilience. Together, we’ll focus on your strengths, experiment with small, manageable changes, and continually check that therapy is moving you toward the life you want in Asheville and beyond. My goal is to not have you in therapy forever!
